Good Morning,

I'm a bit silly today and I wanted to share some Nacho's that I made last night. (I had some left over chips that I couldn't figure out what to do with from yesterdays project)  I hope you enjoy them and the glue I used wasn't completely dry but when it does dry it will be clear, I even glossed it but a little bit of the red sauce got on the chips but that happens in real life too.

Tastefully Simple's Chips and Salsa!

Good Morning Blog Friends!

I made Chips and Salsa this week(I was inspired by my friends Tastefully Simple Catalog)  I think it turned out pretty well, I had a few chips left over and I'm going to have to figure out what to do with them .

I do have those two other platters to fill up.  I hope you can see the salsa it turned out better than I thought it was going too ,I put a few green chilis in it with some pieces of Onion.  (yea I know it needs a margarita glass to go with it but I'm not up to that point yet)

Junk Food Anyone?

Good Morning Blogging Friends!

I made some potato chips and some chocolate chip cookies ,I couldn't get the chocolate chips right so I used my acrylic paint and an opened paper clip to make them, I think they turned out ok.

 I  also made platters on Weds and painted them cool 70's colors cause that's going to be my theme a  70's  bakery.  *that's just a little chalk dust I was experimenting with chalk to see if I could make some cool designs.

what will I make tonight?  I dunno yet but I'm having loads of fun...this is almost criminal!

PS  check your clay before you buy it, Patcatans saw me coming...I couldn't figure out why the regular sculpty I bought was rock hard...well it was a batch from 2007!!!  I crumbled it all apart and put it in a contain with mineral oil but I really shouldn't have to do that.

Did someone say Croissants??

I made these last night while I was testing color on my "Plates" it was so much fun and I was a good girl I found a photo on line and used it as a guide (this is just like cooking)

Im not sure what I'll make tonight...but what ever it is it'll be fun

COOKIES!!! (and other goodness)

Happy Wed Everyone  :)

 I finished my mini food and made some COOKIES!!! 

I'm loving this and I'm learning about scale too (that used to be my biggest problem) I think I did a pretty good job.  No I'm not giving up on dolls I've just been very sad recently because a friend is ill.  So in Honor of her I'm going to call this little mini food division of mine "Sue's Cafe" if I make enough of these I can sell them and donate the money when we do our race for the cure  so here are the Cookies, I made oatmeal this time and next time I'm going to make chocolate chip

they turned out pretty well and I even put some scorch marks on one (hehe, Im a bad cook who eats her mistakes)

I finished up the other dishes while I was at it they are below and I really do have to put color on my plates, I dunno why I'm afraid of color but I am. (don't tell anyone, the walls of my home are quite bland)

The yellow frosting on the cake was sooo cool and set it off quite well, I'm loving this

Food, Glorious Food!!

Good Morning,

this is what I did on Sat, and Sunday!!  I made good use of the food tutorials because I still have all those boxes of reg sculpt to get rid of and there is no way they'll take them back at Patcatans (I think I bought a few from the Flower Factory too) so the first photo is of the plate I made using the plate tutorial. I think I did pretty well considering the fact that I didn't use a washer like she did but I did use a DVD holder that came from Walgreens (see photo).

and this is what I made, some sweet buns (the pink frosting was fun to make) some french bread (that was fun too) a big chocolate cake(Death by Chocolate anyone?) Last but not least... some cheesecake I even made little rasberrys to go on top of it (I was inspired by that lady who always says rasberrys from "Throughly Modern Milly") I will probably bump it up a notch with some crumbs around the bottom of the cheesecake. (very easy to do) 

now this is the bad part, I totally messed up the plates, I put them in the oven too long and burned the heck out of them, what did I learn from this?  adjust the cooking time!!! I'm not making a doll here I'm making mini food so the cooking time is less than it would be for a doll! * don't worry i'm still working on dolls*

This is the final product (well almost I did add a few things like more French Bread and another Bun, I need to add some flowers or something to that cake but for now it's done,  I dunno what I'll make later on and I'm thinking about calling it "Aunt Mae's Southern Style Home Cooking"  (cause you gotta have a gimmic  *yea I know..Natalie Wood in Gypsie Rose Lee* oh lord!  Aunt Mae is from Mayberry too I'll have to find a new name!)

oh and all I did was mix my clay with acylic paint to get the color I wanted! I'm too cheap to buy all those colors.

I'm thinking about buying some magnets but that's just a thought

Hi Kids

I've been super duper busy moving furniture at home and rearranging things so I haven't been able to do much in the way of crafts or doll making which is a bummer but don't fret Momma wont let you down I found a great place with tons of food tutorials for you

Im not sure if this is cool with blogger so I'll just post a link here food  now these are supposed to be for charms but if you are creative you can turn this little venture into food for your dollhouse.

Im going to try my hand at this tomorrow because we are getting 6 inches of snow so I'll be sure to post photos of my progress and if you don't like that food tutorial there are tons more to choose from :  tutorials
