I got this email:
Hi There!
Just wanted to drop a note to let you know that I used a reader comment you made on a recent thinning hair story that appeared on AOL in a follow-up story I wrote, on whether or not older women should cut their hair after a certain age:
http://www.stylelist.com/2010/10/28/older-women-cut-hair/
Thanks for your input, and enjoy!
-Grace
so I clicked it and there was my quote :)
I think this is wonderful! I'm over 50 and I refuse to cut my hair for anyone *I'm such a rebel, my mother isn't happy with me but what the hey*
Happy Friday
Love
Marisa ;)

Happy Tuesday Everyone
Good Morning
I've been busy this weekend raking leaves and pulling air conditioners out of windows
generally getting ready for Fall. while I was doing some cleaning I found this:
It's a doll my Grandmother made, (she passed away in 1997) I remember it sitting on her bed, She always let me play with it. as you can see the neck is shot (probably from me playing with it when I was little) so I'm going to have to do something about it.
Grandmother Bertie was an artist too, she painted, sculpted, made mini furniture and of course she would sew these dolls. I think all of her friends got one but they were all a little different. This one was made after she went to Brazil, she would travel south of the border for vacation and she had friends who lived there. (what I'm trying to say is that she wasn't a socialite or well off she was just a regular person and this doll is something that she left behind for me)
I put the doll back and I thought about my life, how things aren't going the way I thought they would be but I have the strength to carry on. I have wonderful friends who care and when I'm gone someone will look at something I made and remember me like I remember Grandma Bertie.
Welcome to my new followers and my old blogger friends, it's time for me to go to work now.
Hugs
Marisa :)
P.S. I love and miss you Grandma....

I'm very very happy and I did learn a lot but now I have to move on to the next sculpt
I'm just so proud of myself I finally did it

Hello Sweetie
Professor River Song would say that to the Doctor (I'm a big Doctorwho Fan too) so this is an early WIP Wed, Lorelie is finished and painted but she needs a bra of some sort (thats the fun part, dressing her up and I'm also woking on her tail, someone dropped some green wrapping paper into my hot little hands and instead of using film I'm going for a paper tail that will be attached with glue and more glitter (that crap goes everywhere doesn't it, I have some in my eye right now and it hurts like the dickens)

this is Lorelie's old tail, I'll probably keep it and use it for something ....naaaa..it's going into the bin
and here is her new tail that will have to dry over night and then be attached
this is just the start of it, I didn't take a photo of what it looks like now because tomorrow will be the unveiling *it's drying*so tomorrow we have dressing, display stand and Lorelei will be finished, then it's on to the Geisha Fae and finally the wee beastie challenge *thats the werewolf* so things are moving right along *about damn time too if I do say so myself*
so I'm off to beddy by cause 5:00 comes much too soon
I'm ok, after everything that's happened this weekend...I'm ok
Have a wonderful night
Marisa :)
P.S. Thank you Victoria, you're a real pal **HUGS**

Internet Problems
Hello
I can't get on the Internet at home so they will be sending me a new router? the box turns on and the DSL light comes on but the world lite at the bottom wont come on so I've been without for two days.
They're sending me a new router, do you think they'll deduct the days I can't get on the internet from my bill? you do? I have some lake front property in AZ to sell you.
oy!

Happy Sunday (well at least for me it is..)
Hello out there in blogger land
it's raining cats and dogs here today, great day to work with clay and finish up a few projects.
I have to take my car in to the shot tomorrow it's making an aweful noise when you turn left and we just
had the brakes replaced not too long ago so I am not sure what the problems is *why is she telling us this?* well I'll tell you why I was looking on Craigs List and I punched in Dollhouse and what popped up? a 15.00 dollar dollhouse but it's past Akron and I'd have to drive there but with the Car making that aweful racket I don't trust it to go that far.
So I'm bummed out, when things like this pop up on Craigs it's best to get your butt in gear to go grab it
I am still crying over it and it's supposed to be a feel good movie. if you get a chance you really should watch it (rent it from you local library, they usually have it there)
time to go in for a good cry (not really I'm pretty much done for today)
Hugs

anyway we get free Starz Movie channel today (we got it for 3 days but I've been busy) I watched Julie and Julia,
I am still crying over it and it's supposed to be a feel good movie. if you get a chance you really should watch it (rent it from you local library, they usually have it there)
I really loved it... of course I cry over anything for example "The Lake House" "The Notebook", "Romancing the Stone", "Something New" "Leap Year" "Letters to Juliet" I'm probably the only person in this world who cries while she crafts. if Richard comes in I switch over to real TV so he doesn't catch me :)
WIP updates
the Mermaid is done, her face is painted and I'll post photos later (I left the Camera at work..no biggie just forgot it) thats one down
Hugs
Marisa :)
