OMG SEASHELLS!!!  SHUT THE DOOR!!     YEAAAAAAAAA

Thank you Victoria!  she sent me some lovely seashells for my display which means I've got to get my little butt in gear now to finish her up! I really hate the tail I just made and since I'm skint I have to wait till payday but I'll finish up with a new tail then painting the mermaid, wigging ... so I can continue my  *Insert dramatic music* dun dun dun...

Marisa's Halloween Project!   I want to do is a Werewolf   *please stop crying and you in the back..stop banging your head against the desk you'll break something! simmer down now and let me explain*   

I've been doing some reasearch on werewolves *I love them so that is going to be my next project as soon as I get the Fae done, she is bulked up like the hulk  on steroids! but I have a plan B* this time I will follow the instructions and I have a model so I can't go wrong *Hey ,Hey, there Missy I can see you through the screen stop that laughing* I have tons of photos and I got my Groove back!

so to wrap this up I want to say thanks again to My wonderful Friend Victoria for the seashells!! HUGS  :)

Happy Monday Everyone

and a warm welcome to my new followers, thanks for taking a peek at my blog..so on to business

this weekend I was busy, first I finished the Mermaid and then I finished the sofa..I'll show the sofa first because I'm very proud of it

the leg is a bit wonkey because I just glued them in and then Richard picked it up so I'll have to fix it but it turned out rather nice, it's more of a loveseat than a sofa and yes those are newspapers, I got them from a mini website and glued them together.  what will I do with this?  who knows I just wanted to make it to see if I could and I did it


next you'll see photos of the finished mermaid *just took about 6 freakin months to do*  so I'll post photos of that tomorrow..so that's all the news thats fit to print

I was a busy girl this weekend I finally got my groove back *even though my name isn't Stella, then again I probably watch way too many movies*

We are gathering money for "Sponsor a Pet"  for the local newspaper.  "XXX" and "YYY" thought it would be a good idea if we gathered money every month and sent it in. 

fast foreward two years and I am the one gathering the money and sending it in.  funny story about how that happened and guilt is the reason I continue to do it *anyone else tramatized by Lady and Tramp..another Disney favorite of mine*

 so I'm here gathering up money ,  on the bright side I got this great ribbon that Im going to use for something.

welcome to my new followers, thank you so much for your interest in my little blog and I promise I'll have WIP updates tomorrow, if I pick up a Pizza Mr Grumpy wont bother me for a few hours so I'll be able to finish the display stand/tail and maybe first coat of paint?

Happy Tuesday Everyone

a special Hello to my new followers,Hope you don't think I'm rude for not putting your names in this post but I do go to your Blogs and sneak a peak  :) 

 well....the good news is the Mermaid is finished I stayed up all night on Friday getting her done, I even did the tail and it wasnt strong enough so it broke off which means I'll have to make another tail but she's as done as she's going to get and it only took me 6 months? but I'm finally over the hump and I worked on the Fae while little Missy was in the oven baking!


..oh you want to see photos? well why didn't you say so here ya go

she needs a bit of sanding and I'm going to make a tail for her out of wire and maybe paperclay but she's pretty much finished. if you look at her hands you'll see that she has webbed fingers.

*Ive been watching Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea, Ponyo didn't get real hands until Sisko fell in love with her so I didn't put real hands on mine( I can do that I claim artists interpetation rights..hehehe) actually if you think about it how would merpeople get around if they had real hands? the poor things would probably swim really slow and even the Gillman had webbed hands (I've been watching a little bit of  universal's horror movies too) so thats why I did it*

 I will be working on the tail, I have the base and I bought seashells to finish it off for the display *a special thanks to Victoria and Judy for the little nudges of support which forced me to break on through with this project and the Fae which is has a totally new pose! .... thanks guys I love you Dearly!*

so all that's left is sanding, painting, hair and display..... oy vey 

at least it's happening  :)

Happy Friday Everyone (even though it's Sunday)

I was going to post on Friday but I was busy making this fabulous sofa for my Fae (that I should have been working on but I needed a setting for it so I made the sofa and I'll be making a chair soon) 

if you are interested in how I did it I got the Idea from this website, it's for doll house furniture but you can make it any scale you wish if you need something for your dolls or doll house, shadow box, display..ect

well I'll post more photos when it's completely done, I know the pattern is a bit big but I can paint it and it will need legs, basicly I just wanted to see if I could do it and guess what..I did it. yours might turn out a bit better than mine, I was busy cooking and taking care of my family while I was making this so it's a bit rushed but I still like it.

Happy Friday!

I'd also like to say welcome to my followers, thank you for watching my blog and for those of you who don't know...apple season came early this year so we had tons of them on our porch (we aren't farmers but we do have a garden that Mr Stein likes to putter around in.) 

Now for the good news...I got rid of most of them the " person" who said we should have an apple picking party (then flaked on us so we had to pick them ourselves) got two bags of them left on her porch (I hope they rot) oh and I do have pics below,

 *I don't like her, I think she's after my husband and she's just too chummy..comes over all the time with issues..you know the type..yea I know..Im being suspicious but it's a feeling that I get when I see how she acts around him..don't worry he doesn't like her and tolerates her husband. If I could move I would.. she's a pain in the butt.*

oh and now we have watermelons to get rid of I have two bags left to make juice and apple sauceas you can see we don't have many left

just the few on the ground to gather up, (and I don't hope they rot on her porch but she just ticked me off ..sorry if that was mean)

so last weekend was a complete bust and this weekend I'll be back to work, I found some links on dressing your dolls that I'll be sharing with you when I update and I'll tell you how that canned air turned out (if your clay is mushy you can put it in the freezer for a bit or use canned air on it...I'm going to try the canned air)

so thats all the news from the country
