Sunday Updates and Photos of my Roombox :)

Hi Guys

I've visted a few of your blogs and let me just say that your work is fantastic, I love going for a visit without leaving the house (I don't have to comb my hair and put on something decent which is a big plus have I mentioned that Im a lazy slug sometimes?)  anyways I've been busy watching the lady in black (don't you just love old english manor estates they're quite creepy when they are abondoned)  you should give it a watch you'll get loads of ideas and a good scare.

On to the show:

ok let me start at the top, thats my roombox, I was going to put in a fireplace but I changed my mind, I really can't commit to style yet but at least  it's started. 

from the top, pancakes and sasauge with potato, , fish and chips (I was watching tv and a mickey d's fish commercial came on so I made it., meatball sub with onion rings (now I didn't use the sand technique on the onion rings but if you buy some from A and W they sort of look like that, I'll use sand next time)  look at that sauce I nailed it!  it looks so good with Fimo Deko Gel,

 next is fish and chips nothing new about it, then my Subway Turkey sandwich ..love it... the meat turned out great, Sausage and Chips (did I mention I was watching the lady in black?)  and this is a special order for Patrick he's getting married and wanted something with strawberrys and he likes sandwiches so I combined them with a strawberry cream puff and sandwich

So that's it I'm gonig to work on my roombox today, I think it needs  a window at the back...

Good Afternoon Guys,

I filled the box but it's not anything that you havn't seen before, I did try something new with my cheetos, I've discovered the joy of sand and gloss (you can discover it too on youtube, there is a how to vid on how to make snowcones, that's where I got the idea from)  

I love my Madelines, this is the first time I've made them..Ive always been a bit of a cookie monster they're my favorite desert.  you can see how crunchy my cheetos look..thats a first isn't it..so thats it for today Im going to work on my roombox now.

What do you call Cheese that isn't yours?

Hello Everyone,

I was going to make Chicken, really I was but my hands had other ideas and I really wanted to make an avacado but you can't really make an avacado cane when you have just regular sculpty, it doesnt turn out well so I just made a faux avacado cane.... you can see for yourself below:

I made Tacos and Nacho Chips to go with my avacado that isn't cane..and look at that..in scale too (playscale but hey..I've got that clay to use up so just humor me)

 I'm off to bed, Im tired and 5:00 comes really quickly

oh and what do you call Cheese that isn't yours?

 Nacho Cheese!

Hello Friends

I know you're probably sick of reading all the Happy V-day posts but if you'll just bare with me a moment I promise I wont post any cutesy hearts or candy but I do have to warn the foodies out there reading this ..that you will be hungry so without any further nonsense here's what I've been up too:

ok from the top, my favorite ..Breaded Fish with chips (thanks to BBC America)  I loved making this and it's in playscale I'll probably try to go smaller for my roombox (no I'm not going to show you that yet I'm still working on it )  My Hotdogs..I love them, my Eggs and Bacon...not too crazy about them.  Waffles with Strawberrys  and the last is my 5 dollar foot long..with Chips!

Dont worry Mini fans, I'm not going back to playscale and I do have some not so good news, I didn't win but at least I made the finals so I know I'm on the right track :)  Im glad that my friend Joy won she's been working very hard on her Minis (we're all in this together right)

I've got a few more things to make to fill up my box ( I still have a little bit of my original 6 boxes of regular sculpty left)

I made it to the Finals!

OMG I made it to the Finals and I can't believe they picked my art!  I can't tell you how happy I feel right now and how good this makes me feel. 

After all that I didn't even vote for myself, I voted for my friend Sonic, she's from England we're both Doctorwho/Sherlock fans so we have that in common as well as our love of clay food

don't worry I'm still going to do a give away and Richard made me a Roombox!  I know I was shocked too I'll post photos of it later but in the mean time you can look at photos of Mary's RoomBoxes, she makes them out of foam board.


(once Richard saw that he made me one out of the left over blue foam board from his man cave..well he cut it I had to glue it together. He was just happy that he didn't have to make it out of wood)

so that's it from my end, I'm on pin and needles waiting for the results of this contest. but whatever happens I'm happy today.
