W.I.P. Wed (on Thurs), The Xmas Swap and The Kabuki Base

Good Morning Everyone,

Here are the photos of my new WIP, see if you can figure it out!  This is going to be a fun sculpt for me because I'm going to follow the rules *well at least my notes and instructions like I should have done before*

next I will use my dirty clay *which is the regular sculpty that I had laying around* and bake it into a pose I have the base all set up.  this is going to be fun!!

so on to the Mini Christmas swap, I got this lovely mini set from Angela that I love  love love all the way from Italy!!  I can't stop playing with it and I just sit and look at it

here it is, it's got a little box of ornaments, a toy, a tiny christmas tree, a napkin holder (which I was playing with) Thank you so much Angela I love everything and I will definately use it in my doll house *when I buy one..it's not in the budget right now our heating bill was 250.00 dollars....yea thats another story*


the Kabuki is on her base, I need to add Leaves but I was still playing around with her paint and I don't like how it turned out so I'm going to change it, I swear it's like curtains the more you fiddle with them the worse they get.  here it is:

so this is it, I made her a wand as you can see and her sleeves are very long but that is how they are supposed to be, I'm hating the Obi which is her belt I'm going to change that and then change her make up but I wasn't lying she does have a nose *remember this is done in regular sculpt which is like trying to sculpt in bubble gum I wouldn't advise it*

so thats all the news thats fit to print..well except we have freezing rain here today and I spun out once getting to work but I'm ok

so I can not open until Christmas....

Im waiting and it's only the 22nd...two more days so what did I do?  I put the Kabuki Fae on her pedestal and I will post photos of her instead

I lost my jump drive, I probably threw it in the trash on accident I was so excited about the Christmas Swap (you'd think I'd be excited about other things but....)

 as promised I will do the photos of the base and my new project *this is a quick one cause I am following my instructions, I sort of rock with the instructions now..I'm all like ..Miss Instruction girl/woman who should probably take a class or two..oh well..I bake with a Betty Crocker cookbook right?... this should be a slice of pie... right?..maybe not..we shall see....*

OMG it's snowing again

I have to pick up my swap from italy!!!!! it came on Monday when I was home but they said no one answered the door??  yea right, there is a doorbell and I didn't hear anyone knock

so now I have to go get it from the Post Office and I'm so excited! I'm going to pull an all nighter tonight I have a few projects to start and one Kabuki Doll that needs to be put on her stand.

I work best when I'm up all night finishing things and wired out of my mind on coffee, plus I am almost up to 50 followers to I'll have to do a give away *like they say on "Torchwood" the 21st century is coming and you'd better be ready!  so in my case it's 50 followers are coming and I'd better be ready, I miss Torchwood..it was a good show (Damn you Russal T. Davis! you even killed my Doctorwho that I loved)...*

so thats all for now, I'll post photos of my swap tomorrow after I drag myself out of bed *the girls make me get up at 5:00 anyway, but I think Bella will stay up with me..Lady will wimp out and go to bed and Honey would rather stay down in the Mancave with Jack and Richard *he's got food*  (those are my Beagles I should post photos of them too

Introducing Ayami

Here is her face, I like how this turned out and I was influenced by Kabuki theater so Ayami is a Kabuki Charactor playing a Forest Fae.

for some reason her nose doesn't show up very well in photos but it turned out wonderful, for my second doll I don't think I did too bad, she has a staff too and her display will be done soon..... but she's done  :)  I might darken her lines a bit more since she is a Kabuki Actor playing the part of a Forest Fae *they dont have wings but they can fly, trust me I've watched a lot of Anime* 

sooooooo...the second doll is finished (well except for her display which I've changed...I claim artistic perogative to change displays!..hehe)

Kimino - a go go go .... (or WIP Wed, the Kimino is done)

Here is the Kimino, this is the front and the one below is the back, remember this doll is made out of Sculpty, plain ordinary sculpty (why would I do that you ask?..well I didn't read my instructions and I didn't know a thing about clay when I started down this road, I wanted to learn as I went along *and brother did I*) 

 after a lot of blood , sweat, swearing and tears she's almost done but I'm not showing the face yet that will be saved for the big reveal. so my second doll is coming along nicely and what did we learn from this?  read, ask questions, read, ask questions, read, and read again! 

oh this kimino was a bear too,  what you see are satin sleeves (which used to be an old blouse that I hated to iron) , red lace which used to be an xmas bow (see I did listen to suggestions about clothing for Fairys and Fae's) which took forever to dry and cut into shap but I think it works so now I have to work on the "obi"  *I did some research and I'm good to go*

so hopefully this doll will be done soon *see I'm giving myself no time limit I learned that too*  and she's coming along quicker than the mermaid did and I like this doll I didn't before but I do now :)  (thanks for the support guys without you I'd be .... well I wouldn't be here doing this so thank you Victoria and Judy)
